Solos comes to Amazon Prime later this month and there’s an official trailer to whet your appetite
If this has gone under your radar, Amazon has your back. Solo is:
7 unique stories, all connected through the human experience. With a stellar cast and 7 character focused episodes, this dramatic anthology from the mind of David Weil explores the strange and the wonderful truths of what it means to be human. Starring Morgan Freeman, Uzo Aduba, Anne Hathaway, Anthony Mackie, Constance Wu, Helen Mirren and Nicole Beharie…
A recent Deadline article has more detail; including:
…unique character-driven stories […] illuminate that even during our most seemingly isolated moments, in the most disparate of circumstances, we are all connected through the human experience…
They also quote Weil as saying: “I am beyond thrilled to be bringing Solos to life alongside this group of artists who I so deeply admire. I created this piece with a desire to capture stories about connection, hope and the search for that common hum of humanity that binds us all.”
As you’d imagine, the trailer gives snippets for each of the stars, and there’s a strong sense of the surreal mixed with deep emotion. We’re certainly minded to give this series a watch, and suspect a lot of other people will as well.
You can see the official Solos trailer now, and the show drops on May 21 on Amazon Prime.
