It’s all about Orion pirates in the released clip from Lower Decks’ upcoming fifth and final season.
Sunday 8th September was “Star Trek Day” and in celebration Paramount+ dropped an exclusive clip from Star Trek: Lower Decks, via StarTrek.com. The animated Star Trek begins its final 10-episode run this October.
The promo finds an exotic alien collector showing off his prized possessions, before coming under attack from Orion pirates…
The new season promises new adventures for the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos as they are tasked with closing “space potholes” — subspace rifts that are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant.
At the same time, Junior Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries, and scariest of all — their own career aspirations.

The Lower Decks crew are brought to life by the voices of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, and Eugene Cordero. Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore, and Gillian Vigman play the Cerritos bridge crew.
Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 5 launches with a double-episode on October 24th. Episodes then drop weekly, building to a series finale on Thursday, December 19th.
