Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 drops its official trailer

Get ready for more exploration and action, and that Lower Decks crossover, in Strange New Worlds season 2!

The highly anticipated second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds lands on 15th June, 2023.

The returning series follows the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), who we first met in Star Trek: Discovery.

Mixing new characters with reimagined versions of legacy favourites such as Spock and Uhura, the new trailer promises plenty of action, romance and a few familiar faces…

Firstly, there’s the much anticipated, if rather improbable sounding, crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks. Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid are bringing their animated Ensigns Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler to live-action for an episode from director Jonathan Frakes.

There’s also a return for Paul Wesley’s pre-Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk, plus Carol Kane as the ship’s new Chief Engineer Pelia. Plus, Spock meeting the Klingons too!
