Getting the gang back together for Marina Sirtis’ quarantine birthday…

Following the conclusion of Star Trek: Picard this month, another on-screen reunion has taken place between the main Next Generation cast, but this time, things weren’t quite so formal, and the plot featured precisely zero heartbreaking goodbyes!

Marina Sirtis aka TNG‘s Deanna Troi celebrated her real life birthday – unfortunately entrenched in the global coronavirus lockdown – this week, and her longtime Trek pals tried to pick up her spirits by joining together for a group Zoom video chat. Sirtis had only just been working on CBS All-Access’ Picard spinoff series with Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner last year, but the gang were joined by Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn and Gates McFadden for these birthday group TNG wishes.

“I have the best friends in the world. Considering everything, this was the best birthday present. #TNGRules,” Sirtis posted.

“Different shot, but same amazing group. What a blast it was to chat away….and laugh. felt so good,” McFadden wrote afterwards, with Burton adding, “Overcoming the distance… #family.”
