The US remake of Broadchurch will begin in the UK on ITV Encore in April.

Gracepoint stars Doctor Who‘s David Tennant as “a character similar to his role in the original”, alongside Breaking Bad‘s Anna Gunn, Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver, Michael Pena, Kevin Rankin, Virginia Kull and Kevin Zegers.

The 10-part series launches at 10pm on Wednesday 1 April on ITV Encore.

Gracepoint launched in the US last October on Fox.

When a young boy is found dead on an idyllic beach, a major police investigation gets underway in the small California seaside town where the tragedy occurred. Soon deemed a murder, the case sparks a media frenzy, which throws the boy’s family into further turmoil and upends the lives of the town’s residents.
