The premiere date for the new season of Sherlock has now been announced.
The show’s official Twitter account confirmed that Season 4 will begin on Sunday 1 January 2017 on BBC One.

Masterpiece PBS has also announced that Season 4 will premiere on the same day in the United States.

Three new 90-minute episodes of Sherlock began filming in April.
Episode titles for the first two episodes were revealed last month: the first story is titled ‘The Six Thatchers’ and the second story is titled ‘The Lying Detective’.
