The new streaming series sees him resurrected by the devil and given a second chance.
Updated 05/03/24: The Bondsman drops a thoroughly NSFW trailer.
Hot on the heels of the show’s first look images, and with the series only a month away, Prime have unleashed a trailer for The Bondsman.
Hailing from Blumhouse, and starring Kevin Bacon, the show is a sweary and gory affair. It also looks hilarious, but is not one to watch in the office…
The trailer sets up the show’s premise – Bacon’s Hub Halloran is murdered and sent to hell, until the devil decides that he can be useful, tracking down demons who escape that realm. However, should he refuse, he’ll be heading back there himself.
Of course, with the opportunity to reconnect with his family, there’s seemingly a chance for redemption too – in amongst the murderous Pastors and flaming bloody chainsaws!
Describing the show to Vanity Fair, Bacon said:
“It is very violent and has a lot of blood and scares, but it also has some tongue-in-cheek aspects. It’s oftentimes funny, and it also has a lot of heart.”
The Bondsman lands at Prime Video on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 with eight episodes.
Original article (of 25/02/25) continues…
Kevin Bacon might be the ultimate movie star, from Footloose to A Few Good Men to Apollo 13. Heck, there’s even a game based on how many connections any actor is to him.
Bacon is not allergic to television either, appearing as himself in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in 2022 and popping up in Colin From Accounts. For the last decade, he’s also been over the ads for the UK’s EE network too.

Now, Prime Video have dropped the details of his upcoming streaming series, promising supernatural action and country music.
The Bondsman
Kevin Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter who’s back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned — which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music.
The series also stars Jennifer Nettles (The Righteous Gemstones) and Damon Herriman (The Artful Dodger). Plus, Beth Grant (Donnie Darko), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space) and Jolene Purdy (WandaVision).
The show comes from Blumhouse Television, Marker 96 and CrimeThink Production Company. The series creator is Grainger David and the showrunner is Erik Oleson (Daredevil). Both executive produce alongside Bacon and Jason Blum.
All eight episodes of The Bondsman land globally at Prime Video on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025. We’ll update when there’s a trailer.
