The series, re-imagining Frederick Forsyth’s thriller as a 10-part television show, stars Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts) and Lashana Lynch (No Time To Die).
The show’s wider cast includes Ursula Corberó, Charles Dance and Richard Dormer. Plus, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi and Florisa Kamara.
Following a 7th November, 2024 UK premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW, the show also comes to Peacock in the US on 14th November.

The Day of the Jackal – teaser lands with a November launch date
Sky and Peacock have dropped a teaser trailer for their new 10-part series The Day of the Jackal.
The 10-part series is a “bold, contemporary reimagining” adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s seminal thriller, which famously became a 1973 movie.
Here’s the synopsis:
An unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, (Eddie Redmayne) makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.
Redmayne and Lynch star alongside Ursula Corberó (Money Heist) and an ensemble cast which includes Richard Dormer and Charles Dance.
The writer and adapter is Ronan Bennett (Top Boy) and Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Luther) is the lead director. The show comes from Carnival Films, which is part of Universal International Studios.
The Day of the Jackal comes to Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK and Peacock in the US on Thursday, November 7th 2024.
