The book found its place in many bestseller lists not too long after its publication. The novel is now set to be transformed into a feature, with production and development currently coming together. The newest release of information about the adaptation hints at the team behind the new take on the story.
What’s The Final Girl Support Group about?
The story is set for a new medium after the series take fell through. The plot revolves around a Los Angeles support group for six survivors of mass murderer attacks, who have all become minor celebrities thanks to their stories inspiring slasher hits and franchises. As they begin to open up to one another and start to forge a bond which should carry them towards recovery, a brand-new killer targets the group as a whole. As the survivor status of some members get revoked, the act of living becomes a difficult navigation of survival and coping with trauma.
Who’s behind it?
Grady Hendrix, the book’s author, is still attached to the project in a producer capacity. Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity) is attached as a director.
