The Man In The High Castle writer’s new drama lands at the BBC, casting news

The BBC has ordered up another new drama series, this time coming from Rob Williams. Williams penned episodes of The Man In The High Castle, and his new project is called The Victim.

It’s a four part series – first revealed last summer – and lead casting has been announced. Kelly Macdonald and John Hannah are set to lead the show, that follows Macdonald’s character, Anna, 15 years after the murder of her son. She campaigns to find out the identity of her son’s killer, who was 13 at the time of the offence. But when she’s then accused of revealing the name of said killer online, the question arises as to what is she guilty of?

This then crossed with the story of James Harkness’ Craig, the victim of an attack after being accused of being a child murderer. But is he? And might he be a victim too?

Filming has begun this week on The Victim, with the shoot taking place in Scotland. It’s set to land on BBC One, and may yet sneak into this year’s schedules.
