The brand new project undertaken by the BBC and A24 has begun announcing cast, here’s the latest on The Ministry of Time:
Based on the bestseller by Kaliane Bradley and adapted by Alice Birch (Normal People), sci-fi meets bureaucracy in this upcoming series. The newest information released about the show reveals who will be bringing the adaptation to life.
What’s The Ministry of Time about?
Set in a world where humanity is on the cusp of perfecting time travel, the government has decided to set up a brand new department. Their goal? To carry out a series of experiments which entail bringing in travellers from different point in history to gauge how well they adapt to changing the time they’re living in. Our protagonist has worked hard for her promotion in the civil service, and the first task she gets given in her brand new role is no mean feat. She is asked to help a time traveller adapt to his new life in the modern world. The two eventually develop a bond and begin to unravel the lies surrounding the ministry that they owe so much to.
Who’s in it?
The lead cast include Aoife Hinds (Dune: Prophecy) and Billy Howle (The Perfect Couple).
