Jamie Dornan’s amnesiac thriller returns on New Year’s Day 2024.
Updated 18/12/23: The BBC have now revealed the Series Two trailer.
Ahead of the show’s much anticipated return, and following Jamie Dornan’s appearance on Graham Norton’s sofa with Imelda Staunton, Jack Lowden and Ncuti Gatwa, there’s now a trailer for The Tourist Series Two.
The Graham Norton appearance also offered an exclusive clip too.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the show has found a new American home.
While the first run was originally a co-production with Max, they passed on the second. Enter Netflix US, whose deal (according to TV Line) gives them Series One from February 1st, followed by Series Two from February 29th.
For UK viewers, all six episodes of The Tourist Series Two land on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Monday 1 January, 2024. Episode one airs on BBC One at 9pm.

The Tourist Series Two – BBC confirm launch date
The Tourist was one of the BBC’s big drama hits of 2022, with a New Year’s Day premiere and a recommission following soon after.
Now, that second run has arrived and the show is again kicking off on New Years Day.

While the first series took place in the Australian outback, Series two shifts location as the mystery continues…
Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland, Elliot and Helen are confronted by friends and foes. As they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past, they are soon dragged into a longstanding family feud where they face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.
The show stars Jamie Dornan (Belfast) and Danielle Macdonald (Unbelievable).
Series two introduces Conor MacNeill (Industry) as Detective Ruairi Slater (The Fall) and Olwen Fouéré as Niamh Cassidy (The Northman). Plus, the McDonnell family – Donal, Orla, Fergal and Frank, played by Diarmaid Murtagh (Vikings), Nessa Matthews (Fair City), Mark McKenna (Sing Street) and Francis Magee (Kin) respectively.
The Tourist comes from Two Brothers Pictures (Boat Story) in association with Stan, ZDF and All3Media International. The show’s creators and writers are Harry and Jack Williams, with Fergus O’Brien, Lisa Mulcahy and Kate Dolan directing.
