Just as the excellent Dara O Briain Goes 8-Bit returns to Dave, Channel 4 has got in on the vintage computer game act, by hiring Rob Beckett to front a new series of shows.
He’ll be headlining Rob Beckett’s Playing For Time, where – with a different guest each time – he’ll travel to a different era in computer game history. The challenge will be to complete a level of a famous game, and gradually move forward to the present day.
The guest stars for the four episodes have been confirmed, too. Josh Widdecombe, Rachel Riley, Asim Chaudhry and Scarlett Moffat have all signed up.
The show won’t take too long to get to us, either, with a Spring transmission date being earmarked.
