Next on the production slate for ITV drama appears to be a new adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame.
The broadcaster is working with Tom Hollander’s Bandstand Productions, that has hired Andrew Davies to adapt the text into a television drama. If all goes to plan, Hollander himself will take on the role of Quasimodo.
The drama hasn’t yet been given the official go ahead, but it’s described as a passion project for Hollander. Development work continues, and we’ll keep you posted as we hear more…
