Expect to see some overbearing mothers in the upcoming Netflix comedy series, here’s what we know so far about Toxic Moms:

With an all-star comedy cast already attached, the latest release about the brand new series for the streaming giant reveals a little more behind the curtain about the premise of the show.

What’s Toxic Moms about?

Penned by Canadian comedian Sabrina Jalees (I Used To Be Funny), the story follows a protagonist who has had almost her whole life drained out of her by motherhood. By luck or misfortune, she finds herself drawn into a group of high-class high-standard “cool” mothers. The longer we spend in the inner sanctum of the sacred community, however, the darker it gets. Torn between the isolation of self preservation and the expectations of fitting in with a new group, our lead has a decision to make.

Who’s in it?

So far the stars attached to the project are Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) and Ali Wong (Beef), with Tisdale confirmed to star. It’s unclear what Wong’s exact role will be aside from the trio of Jalees, Tisdale and herself executive producing – there are rumblings about her taking on the role of director should the series enter production.
