The wait is over for curious fans as the trailer has been released for the finale of the last adventure for the popular leads for the cult-hit series, here’s what we know about it so far:
Good Omens hit screens in 2019 and captured fan’s attention with iconic characters and high fantasy world with enrapturing plot lines packed with action and comedy. The series is set to come to a close at the end of the third season, with Prime Video announcing more details alongside dropping a trailer to whet the appetite for an excited fanbase.
What’s it about?
In case you missed it, Good Omens begins with the story an angel and a demon who find their way to Earth and begin to conflict with the human world, as well as one another. As the series progressed, the two find themselves working together with the common goal of preventing the apocalypse, burning many bridges along the way.
This season picks up where the second season left off, with angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley having a fractured relationship as our angel accepts an offer to return to heaven after engaging in hijinks with his counterpart. Aziraphale has been rewarded with the position of Supreme Archangel and is tasked with overseeing the Second Coming, whilst his demonic counterpart wandered the streets of Soho in a deep depression. The fate of the world depends on what the two will do next, and if they’ll do it on their own or as a pair.
Who’s in it?
David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Michael Sheen (Staged) will continue playing their main characters, alongside a cast including Doon Mackichan (Two Doors Down), Gloria Obianyo (Dune: Part One), Liz Carr (Loki), Paul Chahidi (This Country), Quelin Sepulveda (Havoc), Sir Derek George Jacobi (Last Tango in Halifax) and Bilal Hasna (Layla).
