Airing at 9pm on Sunday 9 June on BBC Three, Bollywood Carmen Live will see Bradford City Park transformed with massive dance routines from choreographer Honey Kalaria, an audience-fuelled flash mob and gripping drama re-imagine Bizet’s popular opera Carmen, Bollywood-style.
The event is set to pop song mash-ups and Kuljit Bhamra’s Bollywood adaptations of Bizet’s classic score, along with Bradford-based band RDB and British Asian music producers Bobby Wonda and Angel.

Carmen, a waitress from Bradford dreams of being a Bollywood star. With the help of her best friends Kylie and Shazzy and café ownercome Queen Bee, Lily P, she seduces Don the security guard.
He falls head-over-heels in love with Carmen, spurns his fiancée Tannishta, unaware that Carmen is totally star-struck and has turned her attention to AD, a Bollywood Star so big he only needs his initials!
