The final run of the show is coming to E4 next week!
There’s great news for ardent UK fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine – Season 8, the final run of the hit comedy, lands next week.
While it aired in the US last August and September, Brits have been patiently waiting to see how the show concluded.
“One Last Ride”
The final ten-episode season will see Jake and Amy adapting to parenthood with baby Mac. It also promised not to shy away from big topics, with Andy Samberg telling Variety:
“The challenge is going to be being honest about what is going on in the world and not shying away from the fact that there are serious problems, and also not punishing viewers who like our show and care about our characters. Our characters need to examine their roles in the world. They’re going to be forced to look in the mirror and see who they’re complicit with.”
The regular cast all reprise their roles for Season 8. So that’s Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller and Andre Braugher.
In the guest cast, we can expect appearances from a number of old favourites including Chelsea Peretti’s Gina, Doug Judy (the Pontiac Bandit) and a whole host of Boyles.
The episode titles are as follows:
‘The Good Ones’, ‘The Lake House’, ‘Blue Flu’, ‘Balancing’, ‘PB’ & J’, ‘The Set Up’, ‘Game of Boyles’, ‘Renewal’ and a two-part finale entitled ‘The Last Day’.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 begins at E4 on Wednesday, 20th of April at 9.00 pm with a double-bill.
If you need a fix before then, the previous seven seasons are all on Netflix. “Nine-Nine!”
