Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Melissa Fumero and Andy Samberg reunite vocally.

Updated 10/03/23: As the show’s debut approaches, there’s now a full trailer for Digman!

Comedy Central have released a just-over-two minute promo which sets the scene for central character Rip Digman; a former archaeologist for the Smithsonian, he’s now a washed-up has been.

As well as showcasing some of the adventures in store, the trailer also gives a taste of the tone – let’s just say the whole thing lands squarely in the adult bracket!

We loved the anthemic, choral version of Smashmonth’s ‘Rockstar’ which accompanies the visuals too.

Digman! lands at Comedy Central in the US on March 22nd, 2023. It will also be available on Paramount+, which is doubtless where UK viewers can catch it.

We’ll keep you posted.

Digman! – first look trailer for Andy Samberg’s new animated comedy

Here’s another show we’ve been looking forward to: Digman!

Starring Andy Samberg as the titular hero Rip Digman, this new Comedy Central animation takes place in a universe where archaeologists are massive celebrities and the coolest people on the planet.

Joining Samberg and Fumero in the main cast are Mitra Jouhari, Tim Robinson, Dale Soules, Guz Khan, and Tim Meadows.

Comedy Central have also announced a host of guest stars; Maya Rudolph, Daniel Radcliffe, Jane Lynch, Clancy Brown and Kirby Howell-Baptiste will all provide voices. Plus, former Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Joe Lo Truglio and filmmaker Edgar Wright.

While it’s only a 30 second promo, the show looks like a lot of fun.

Samberg has co-created Digman! with Neil Campbell, the pair are writing and producing. Campbell serves as showrunner. The series is produced by CBS Studios alongside Ali Bell and The Lonely Island’s Party Over Here banner.

Titmouse Studios (Star Trek: Lower Decks) will executive produce, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina. Grant Gish serves as executive producer with Sachi Ezura as co-executive producer and Michael Stanger as supervising producer for MTV Entertainment Studios.
