The bear from Peru is back in the first Paddington 2 trailer, check it out.
Paddington was something of an unexpected joy when it appeared back in 2015. The original was directed by Paul King (The Mighty Boosh), with the titular bear voiced by Ben Wishaw (James Bond’s current Q). It also had a pretty stellar cast – Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), and Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) among them – and a massive, massive heart.
So, it’s especially pleasing to note the return of all of those major players for the film’s sequel. Indeed, you can see them all in the first trailer for the film, which appeared yesterday.
Here it is…
The film will also see the return of the peerless Julie Walters as Mrs Bird, and Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy.
Brendan Gleeson will be an ally to the Bear as ‘Knuckles’ McGinty, while none-other than Hugh Grant will be taking over from Nicole Kidman as the baddie of the sequel. Really looking forward to this one.
