BBC Worldwide officially confirmed tonight that that nine recordings from the 1960s featuring missing episodes of Doctor Who have been recovered in Nigeria.
All the newly-found episodes will be available to download exclusively from iTunes on Friday 11 October and ‘The Enemy of the World’ will also be released on DVD on Monday 22 November.

‘The Enemy of the World’ originally aired as part of the fifth season from 23 December 1967 to 27 January 1968 and starred Patrick Troughton in a dual role as the Second Doctor and Salamander, alongside Frazer Hines and Deborah Watling as companions Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield.
