The Arconia’s podcast sleuthing trio return with Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep in tow.
Updated 01/05/23: Steve Martin has revealed the Season 3 start date for Only Murders in the Building.
The veteran comic is currently performing in his touring show ‘You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!’ alongside his Only Murders co-star Martin Short.
Thanks to a report, via Variety, we’ve picked up that he dropped an August 8th, 2023 start date for the show’s third run. Quick smart, Martin Short got in a joke at Steve Martin’s expense too, saying “Our show is like Steve trying to pee — it streams for 33 minutes!”
Season 3 will again star Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez. Joining the cast for this run are Ashley Park, Paul Rudd, Meryl Streep and Jesse Williams.
We’ll keep you posted.

Only Murders in the Building – Season 3 teaser
The Arconia’s podcast sleuthing trio return with Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep in tow.
With the focus on the Oscars, comedy drama Only Murders in the Building dropped a teaser trailer for its third season during the awards ceremony broadcast.
The show, which stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short follows three friends who come together to solve murders in their New York apartment building and share a love of true crime podcasts. They also have an unfortunate habit of becoming embroiled in their own cases.
Dropping during the Oscars seems appropriate as the next investigation for the Arconia trio promises a theatrical dimension; in the closing moments of Season 2, actor Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) dropped dead on stage after exchanging cross words with Steve Martin’s Charles-Haden Savage.
Of course, as we learned in January, Paul Rudd isn’t Season 3’s only instantly recognisable face. The other notable addition to the cast is no stranger to the Academy Awards herself – triple Oscar winner Meryl Streep.
With scene from a table read, presumably from Oliver’s play, the teaser doesn’t give away much. It appears that Streep’s character is an actress – could she be the mysterious “her” that Ben Glenroy and Charles were arguing over moments before his death? You wouldn’t bet against it.
Other cast members for Season 3 include Ashley Park (Emily in Paris) and Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy).
With the show still in production, we don’t have a start date for Season 3 of Only Murders yet. The show airs on Hulu in the US, and via Disney+ internationally.
We’ll keep you posted.
