ITV has unveiled the trailer for Unforgotten, starring Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Walker (Last Tango in Halifax) and Bhaskar (Goodness Gracious Me) play two detectives investigating a ‘cold’ murder case of 39 years ago in the new six-part crime drama.

Unforgotten begins at 9pm on Thursday 8 October on ITV.

When the bones of a young man are found beneath the footings of a demolished house, an investigation begins that will unravel the lives of four people who have been waiting for this moment for nearly forty years, as they discover that the past can’t, and won’t, stay buried forever.

The cast also includes Trevor Eve (Waking the Dead), Bernard Hill (Wolf Hall), Ruth Sheen (Our Girl), Tom Courtenay (Little Dorrit), Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones’s Diary), Brian Bovell (Death in Paradise), Cherie Lunghi (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and Claire Goose (Waking the Dead).
