BBC One has released a trailer for the new season of Call the Midwife.

The drama returns at 8pm on Sunday 17 January on BBC One, following last month’s Christmas special.

In the first of eight new episodes, Easter 1961 is approaching, and for the nuns and midwives of Nonnatus House it’s as busy as ever, as babies are born to myriad families across the borough. Meanwhile, the new exercise craze has reached Poplar, led by Trixie.
