Vicky McClure returns as police bomb disposal officer Lana Washington in the New Year.
ITV have released a first look at the second series of Trigger Point, which returns in 2024.
The show follows the work of Expo officers in the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad, and Series 1 was ITV’s best performing drama of 2022.
For Trigger Point Series 2, Vicky McClure returns as Lana Washington. She’s joined by Nabil Elouahabi as Hass, Eric Shango as Danny, Mark Stanley as DI Thom Youngblood, Kerry Godliman as Sonya Reeves, Kris Hitchen as John and Kevin Eldon as Jeff.
Joining the show are Natalie Simpson (North Sea Connection) as DS Helen Morgan, Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton) playing Commander John Francis and Tomiwa Edun (Merlin) as Alex.
The writer of the new six-part run are Simon Ashdown (Our House), Amanda Duke (Treason) and series creator Daniel Brierley.
Trigger Point Series 2 comes from HTM Television production (co-owned by Jed Mercurio and Hat Trick Productions.) The executive producers are Mark Redhead (Bloodlands), Jessica Sharkey (Derry Girls) and Vicky McClure, with Jed Mercurio and Jimmy Mulville.
The producer is Mat Chaplin (The Last Kingdom), directors are Jon East (Bloodlands) and Audrey Cooke (DI Ray).
