HBO isn’t having an awful lot of luck with Game Of Thrones season 7 episodes. Episode 4 of the show was the first to leak early, resulting in four arrests. That particular leak was tracked back to a company used by broadcaster Star India.
However, the penultimate episode of season 7 has now leaked too – and this time, HBO did it itself!
HBO Nordic in Spain put the episode on its on-demand service early for an hour before the error was noticed. In an official statement released by HBO, it said that “we have learned that the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones was accidentally posted for a brief time on the HBO Nordic and HBO España platforms. The error appears to have originated with a third-party vendor and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized. This is not connected to the recent cyber incident at HBO in the US”.
The cyber incident hasn’t affected Game Of Thrones yet, but has seen hackers release episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm early in the past week.
We wait and see if it can keep the finale under wraps!
