A hitherto undeveloped idea in television is a mashup of 24 and Beadle’s About. Combining the nonstop action of a Bauer-ish thriller and the cringing embarrassment nail-biting tension of a hidden camera may at first glance seem like a suggestion on a par with Alan Partridge’s vision of monkey tennis, but closer inspection indicates that some channels already believe it to be a ratings winner – at least, Belgian TV’s TNT do, anyway.
