‘Aren’t you a little short for a Storm Trooper?’

Sick of the way George Lucas has tampered so much with the original Star Wars film that the movie you’ve loved for so long is now a barely-recognisable, overly-CGI-ed load of bantha fodder in which Jabba the Hutt makes a silly face and Han doesn’t shoot first?

If the answer is no, you’re either one of those contrary types who delight in confounding people without good reason, an employee of Lucasfilm contractually obliged to follow the company line, or George Lucas himself.

However, if the answer’s yes – or if you simply love examples of pure geek devotion – it’s worth watching Casey Pugh’s Star Wars Uncut: a shot-for-shot remake of the film featuring fans’ recreations of their favourite fifteen seconds from a galaxy far far away. The flash-cutting may be a little wearing on the eyes and the sheer range of mediums and styles a bit brain-boggling, but the creativity, heartfelt affection and sheer scale make this one of the internet’s greatest moments of all time.
