The story of Harrison Ford catching dysentery whilst shooting Raiders of the Lost Ark in Tunisia is now part of Hollywood folklore. Literally sick to his stomach, the actor suggested binning a complicated whip-and-sword fight against a villain in favour of something simpler. ‘Let’s just shoot the fucker,’ Ford is reputed to have said – and the subsequent scene became one of the most iconic in the Indiana Jones franchise.
