The Doctor’s not the only time traveller this summer – IKEA recently teamed up with world-renowned hypnotist Justin Tranz to give young couples a sneak peak into the future.

Tranz – who has notched up over 6,000 stage shows in Las Vegas – transformed the IKEA bedrooms and bathrooms into a stage and turned passing shoppers into his stunned audience.

With the couples hypnotized (willingly!) into a trance, they were exposed to potential life-changing everyday events in a predicted future everyday life…

Johan Wickmark, catalogue manager at IKEA, commented: “At IKEA, we believe that life happens everyday. That it’s on those seemingly ordinary days the magic happens, when life takes shape and changes, and it’s for those moments we create our products and solutions.”

He added: “With the new IKEA catalogue we want to inspire people to look at their home in new ways, especially the bedroom and bathroom – where the everyday begins and ends.”
