Starring Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits), Paul Higgins (In the Loop), Alexandra Roach (The Iron Lady) and Neil Maskell (Kill List), Dennis Kelly’s enigmatic new six-part thriller Utopia begins on Channel 4 next week.

When an unconnected set of people find themselves in possession of the manuscript for a legendary graphic novel, their lives brutally implode as they are pursued by a shadowy and murderous organisation.

Find out who’s who in Utopia

BECKY

Becky’s a bright and opinionated soon-to-be post-grad student. Her mum died when she was little then in her late teens her father contracted a mysterious illness. Convinced there is a conspiracy surrounding her father’s death connected to the Utopia manuscript she is determined to find out the truth.

IAN

Ian now in his mid twenties hankers after a more exciting life but somehow he has just never managed to break away from ordinary. Stuck in a job as an IT consultant that he thinks he’s too good for (he’s probably right), he still lives at home with his Mum.

WILSON WILSON

Wilson Wilson is a survivalist geek and a conspiracy nerd who spends far more time than is healthy on the Internet. Brought up by his oddball hippy dad they have a nuclear fall out shelter in his back garden – just in case…

JESSICA HYDE

Jessica has been on the run from ‘The network’ for as long as she can remember. Socially awkward with a directness that is disarming, she is a survivor and a fighter though she doesn’t feel/look like a super hero, she’s not what you would expect.

DUGDALE

Dugdale is a senior civil servant. He is bright, worked his way up and kept himself under the radar. He and his wife are having great difficulty conceiving and to compound matters its turns out that he has got a prostitute pregnant and her pimp is Russian Mafia. He is on the verge of a breakdown.

GRANT

Troubled and practically feral Grant has built up a wall of bravado. His mum can’t cope and has succumbed to the numbness of booze. Grant pretends online to be a city trader who drives a porche and shags supermodels but actually he’s 11.

ARBY

Arby is a hit man, part of ‘The Network’; a complete sociopath with no ability to empathise. He has soul but absolutely no idea how to access it which makes him VERY good at his job.
