Watch television, lose weight?!

Want a top tip for managing to combine your love of films and TV shows with some good, old-fashioned exercise? Then try an exercise bike – or whatever gym equipment you can lay your hands on! – and put it in front of the TV!

It sounds such a simple idea, but it’s surprising how many people don’t put the two together. You end up distracting your brain so you can exercise, and catching up on your favourite viewing too! It’s worked a treat for many people, who struggle perhaps with body confidence, and thus don’t like to go out to the gym in the first place. But also, for people who have bought exercise equipment and then struggled to use it!

We recommend either a good TV boxset to try – multiple episodes are a good motivation to get you back exercise – or perhaps even a games console? Few things take you out of the real world as well as a good videogame, and thus it might be worth setting up an Xbox or PlayStation to play while you pedal your exercise bike.

It can, though, all get a bit hot and sweaty, and you may want to consider just what to wear when you get exercising! For women in particular, who may be worried a little about body confidence anyway, there’s an inspiring range of underwear products that combine comfort and sweat management! Try, for instance, this Knix’s sweat-proof t-shirt.

For men, it’s a little more manageable, but to avoid sweating onto your joypad, perhaps a good sweatband may be in order!

If you don’t have exercise equipment at home, then no matter. Improvise! You’ve more than likely got a television, so how about running on the spot for the duration of your favourite TV show? Or what about something as simple as doing some stretches? Just keep your body moving, and you might just get the best of more than one world…
