Billions season 5 confirmed by Showtime

The Showtime network has put its money where its money-based TV show is, renewing Billions for its fifth season. Here’s everything you need to know…

TV Line broke the news, sharing this statement from Showtime’s co-president Gary Levine about the renewal:

“Billions‘ addictive examination of wealth and power is supremely entertaining, smart and surprising. We’re loving Season 4 and can’t wait to buckle up for the wild ride that Brian [Koppelman] and David [Levien] and their brilliant cast have in store for us in Season 5.”

Billions first burst onto our screens back in 2016, and the show’s fourth season is set to wrap up in June. This is a nice early renewal, then, allowing fans to know there’s nothing to worry about and the show will definitely be coming back.

We don’t have an official synopsis, cast list or release date for Billions season 5 just yet, but there are a few clues in the show’s past.

For instance, the most recent two seasons of Billions premiered on Showtime back in March, so we’d expect season 5 to arrive around a similar sort of time next year.

Also, of course, we’d expect familiar faces such as Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti to return.

As we get more info, we’ll be sure to let you know.
