The Innocents: new trailer for Netflix chiller

Netflix have gifted us with a new trailer for its upcoming horror series, The Innocents, which bows on the streaming service later this month.

Guy Pearce leads the series as Halvorson, an enigmatic doctor who attempts to treat a young woman, June (Clique‘s Sorcha Groundsell) when she starts to develop shapeshifting powers. This throws June’s ill-fated relationship with Harry (Wizards vs. Aliens‘s Percelle Ascott) into jeopardy as the pair are forced to go on the run. Throw in the fact Halvorson clearly has ulterior motives and you’ve got yourself quite the series.

Here’s the trailer to feast your eyes upon:

And the official synopsis for The Innocents goes something like this;

What you see… is not what you see… June’s adventure starting a new life in London becomes a lot more complicated than she could have ever expected. Suddenly, she finds herself the subject of a kidnap plot, their intentions unknown. Faced with extreme stress her body and identity begin to shift in ways she could have never imagined. The question is not just how.. .but why?

Netflix have set 24th August as the release date so not long to wait. We’ll keep you updated on The Innocents.
