‘In Absentia’ is a quieter episode than the premiere, but its assured approach makes it an interesting and effective instalment.

It’s an unmistakably different Fringe, but it is one that remembers just what makes the show so special.
The second season of this swords-and-sandals epic maintains the gripping atmosphere and momentum while propelling its characters into new dangerous situations.
If you’re looking for a series just as engaging as Lost (not to mention more satisfying and, on occasion, even more completely bonkers), Fringe is definitely worth a look.
