As we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Doctor Who‘s return, we decided to take a look back at all the “Bad Wolf” references in the show over the past decade…
‘Doomsday’
The last hole through the Void for the Doctor and Rose to say goodbye leads them to Dårlig Ulv Stranden (“Bad Wolf Bay” in Norwegian).
Torchwood episode ‘Captain Jack Harkness’
“Bad Wolf” graffiti appears in the background of a scene in Torchwood‘s twelfth episode, ‘Captain Jack Harkness’.
‘Gridlock’
The Japanese for “Bad Wolf” appears on a poster in one of the New Earth cars.
‘Silence in the Library’
Two paintings on the wall in the girl’s home appear to represent Rose and a wolf.
‘Turn Left’
Rose whispers “Bad Wolf” into Donna’s ear as she is about to die in Donna’s parallel world. When the “real” Donna remembers and tells the Doctor, the whole of Shan Shen is covered with the words “Bad Wolf”.
‘The Day of the Doctor’
The consciousness of the Moment takes the form of Rose Tyler as “Bad Wolf”. The War Doctor exclaims: “Bad Wolf girl, I could kiss you!”
Bonus reference: ‘The Invasion’
When British animation studio Cosgrove Hall reconstructed the missing episodes of Patrick Troughton’s 1968 story ‘The Invasion’, they retroactively added a Bad Wolf reference on the wall where Isobel Watkins leaves notes.
