The Rebels Connection Part 2

We promised you a bigger Rebels cameo and unless you follow the show, this one probably slipped right by you. Well prepare to feel like one of those crashed Star Destroyers over Scarif. But in a good way.

As you probably remember, one of the more spectacular moments of the space battle comes from Admiral Raddus as he has a cruiser ram headfirst into a disabled Star Destroyer. Sending the wreckage into the Shield Gate and our collective minds into a tailspin. You can probably guess where this is going.

The cruiser is a Hammerhead Corvette, which made their debut in Season 2 of Rebels. When the much smaller Rebellion is in need of ships, Bail Organa supplies three Hammerheads and has them delivered by Princess Leia under the guise of a mercy mission to the people of the planet Lothal. They were certainly put to good use.

And just to add one last rather nice dimension to it for fans of a certain Star Wars RPG: the Hammerheads themselves are based on the Hammerhead Cruisers from the now non-canon Knights Of The Old Republic game.
