Top 5 dinner party guests from TV ads

As you probably know, we at CultBox love TV. We also love food and coming up with Top 5 lists, so we’ve combined all these things to bring you the five TV advert stars we’d most like to invite to a dinner party…

Diet Coke’s gardener Andrew Cooper

What do you mean we’re shallow? Maybe we just need someone to get the garden looking nice before the guests arrive? In a recent interview with Spa Breaks, Andrew revealed that he is happiest when he’s in the sun on the beach. We’re more than happy to join him.

Halifax Bank’s Howard Brown

The former customer services representative fronted Halifaxs’s all-singing all-dancing ads from 2000 to 2008, performing the likes of ‘We Give You Extra’ and ‘Just a Little’, even having a cameo a Christmas special of The Office. We’re sure if we asked nicely Howard would perform his cover of the Barry White’s ‘You’re the First, the Last, My Everything’ after dinner, which he released as a single in 2005 – it peaked at number 13 in the UK singles chart!

The Sheilas’ Wheels girls

We can be sure this trio will keep things lively! Did you know that only one of the girls is actually Australian? And that band member Emma Robbins is married to the guy who plays Tinky Winky on Teletubbies and is a second cousin of Paul McCartney? Well, now you know.

Cillit Bang’s Barry Scott

Okay, so Cillit Bang’s intense brand ambassador Barry Scott could probably give the most relaxed guest a nervous breakdown, but we need someone to clean up the kitchen, right?

Gocompare.com’s Wynne Evans

Why would we want Welsh tenor Wynne Evans, better known as Gio Compario, at our dinner party? Well, the former Phantom of the Opera star could certainly get everyone to leave by belting out his Gocompare.com song when we’re ready to call it a night and go to bed.
