Following Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat’s recent hints that the show will eventually return to featuring more stand-alone episodes, rather than the current focus on long-term story arcs, we asked you to tell us which type of story you prefer.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour last week, Moffat commented: “It will always push back towards the anthology model. We’ve just amped it up to see what would happen.”

Our poll showed that just over half of you (54.8%) prefer the show’s long-running story arcs, while 44.6% would like to see more stand-alone episodes.

The second half of Series 6 kicks off with Moffat’s ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’ on Saturday 27th August.
