CultBox future plans

Posted Filed under

Hello everyone!

18 months since CultBox launched, we’ve just reached 10,000 followers on Twitter and this summer we’re going to be making some slight changes to the type of content we run on the site.

Here’s the gist of what we’re planning. We’d love to hear your feedback in the comments section below…

UK-centric

We’re going to be focusing almost entirely on UK-based TV shows. There are plenty of sites that cover US shows quicker and more thoroughly, so we’d rather dedicate ourselves to British TV drama and comedy. There will still be some movies/events coverage too though.

Cult genre

We’ve drifted away from concentrating on cult/sci-fi/fantasy a bit and we’re going to go back to the site’s original idea. Basically CultBox is going to get a bit geekier.

News

Our news section has been a tad sporadic, but we’re going to start posting more regular daily news stories.

Video content

We’re going to feature more videos, with significantly less pre-roll ads to sit through first. What kind of videos do you like?

Twitter/Facebook

We’ll be trying to interact a bit more on Twitter and Facebook. What sort of posts do you enjoy? Should we be posting more/less often?

Forum

We’re also considering launching a forum. Is this something you’d be interested in?

Design

We’ll be making a few tweaks to the site’s layout. Any suggestions?

Writers

We’ll be expanding our awesome writing team. If you’re interested in contributing reviews, news stories, features or general rants, get in touch here.
