Aimee Lou Wood and Ralph Davies have co-created and written a new series for the BBC, here’s what we know so far.

Film Club comes from Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education) and Ralph Davis (House of the Dragon). The new rom-com has released first look pictures alongside a trailer, here’s a breakdown of info about the show:

What’s it about?

Film Club follows a woman recovering from a rough patch attending a local film club. Attending the film club with her best friend Noa, she begins to reckon with the fact that they might be more than friends.

Who’s in it?

Aimee Lou Wood will be starring alongside Nabhaan Rizwan (Informer), Suzanne Jones (Hostage), Liv Hill (Miss Austen), Adam Long (Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue), Owen Cooper (Adolescence), Arian Nik (Passenger), Fola Evans-Akingbola (The Night Agent), Lisa McGrillis (Sex Education) and Ralph Davis.

Who’s behind it?

The series is co-created and written by Aimee Lou Wood and Ralph Davis, with Anna Jordan (Killing Eve) joining the writing team for an episode. Stella Merz (Gentleman Jack) and Hannah Pescod (The Lovers) will be producing, with Catherine Morshead (The Full Monty) directing. The executive producers are Aimee Lou Wood, Alison Jackson (Tin Star), Jamie Jackson (The Wives) and Nawfal Faizullah (The Tourist).

When’s it out?

Film Club will debut on the 7th October on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three.
