The Book of Boba Fett - Boba and Fennec

… and another trailer for The Book of Boba Fett – Ready

On the countdown to the series launch, trailers for the Boba Fett spin-off are coming thick and fast.

Hot on the heels of ‘The Return’, there’s another new trailer for The Book of Boba Fett doing the rounds; even Jedi Masters in self-imposed exile amid the swamps of Dagobah must know this series is coming soon!

The Book of Boba Fett

Just in case you’ve been out of the loop, The Book of Boba Fett is set to tell the story of the fan-favourite Bounty Hunter character who’s been bobbing around the Star Wars franchise since The Empire Strikes Back.

Picking up on his return in the second series of The Mandalorian, this show will show Fett (Temuera Morrison) and his ally Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) attempting to take control of the late Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire on Tatooine. We’re also expecting it to fill in some backstory along the way – notably how he survived being swallowed by the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi.

Ready

In the latest trailer, ‘Ready’, we get a further look at some of the opposition they will face, with plenty of rooftop action on display.

“These are just the first wave. They’re going to war.”

The Book of Boba Fett launches on Wednesday 29th December, once Hawkeye has finished its run.

The show will play out across seven episodes, directed by Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Steph Green, and Kevin Tancharoen. Its executive producers are Favreau, Filoni, and Rodriguez.

Despite the multiple trailers, there’s not much else yet known about the series, save for Jennifer Beals being cast as a Twi’lek, and the fact that The Mandalorian‘s composer Ludwig Göransson will also score this show.

Naturally, we’ll bring you more when we hear it.
