The Jessop family of Here We Go will return for Series 2 and 3.
The BBC have announced that their hit sitcom is coming back for two more runs of family misadventure. The news follows the recent double recommission of Call the Midwife.
Here We Go, from writer and actor Tom Basden (After Life), follows the chaotic Jessop clan. Described as “family life with no filter”, the show’s first series was acclaimed as a comic masterpiece in The Telegraph. Born of lockdown, it views family life though the camera lens of the brood’s son Sam (Jude Collie).
Here We Go also stars Jim Howick (Ghosts), Katherine Parkinson (Spreadsheet) and Alison Steadman. Freya Parks, Mica Ricketts and Tori Allen-Martin (London Kills) round out the cast.
Creator Tom Basden said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to bring the relentlessly chaotic Jessop family back to BBC One for more homespun triumphs and disasters, and can’t wait to work with such a brilliant and hilarious cast once again.”
BBC Studios Comedy Productions make the show for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Its executive producers are Tom Jordan and Josh Cole for BBC Studios.
Series 1 is available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Series 2 lands later in 2023.
We’ll keep you posted.
