A host of familiar faces will Return to Hogwarts to celebrate 20 years of the Potter films.
With the reunion show Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts set to air at New Year, Sky have released a full trailer (building on the previous teaser).
Although it’s the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the celebration is set to delve into the memories of all eight movies. The special will reunite stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson with other cast members and crew.
From Hogwarts we’ll see Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch.
From the adult cast, it’s heroes Robbie Coltrane, Gary Oldman, Mark Williams, Ian Hart and Toby Jones (Dobby!). Also, villains Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Jason Isaacs.
Directors Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates will appear too, as well as producer David Heyman. Potter creator J.K. Rowling is likely to be represented by comments and archive footage.
With Helena Bonham Carter discussing teeth and Ralph Fiennes discussing why he chose the role, there should be plenty for behind-the-scenes fans. Equally, it looks as though we’re in for lots of laughter and a fair few tears too.
Return to Hogwarts will be available on Sky Max and Now on the 1st of January 2022. In the US, it appears on HBO Max. Sky are also celebrating the anniversary with other programming, check here for details.
