Welcome to 2023… Here’s something fun – a reinterpretation of that Wednesday dance. On ice. 

There’s still no news of that much-anticipated Wednesday recommission, potentially snarled up in negotiations between MGM Television’s new owners Amazon (of Prime TV fame) and its current streaming home of Netflix.

However, we do have something Wednesday related to brighten the first day back at the office, thanks to Billboard.

Russian Figure skater Kamila Valieva has taken some inspiration from the series. She’s taken Jenna Ortega’s dance moves at the Rave’N, to The Cramps ‘Goo Goo Muck’ and sandwiched them between Danny Elfman’s theme for the series and the viral TikTok version of the Wednesday dance (which is set to Lady Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary’ track).

The result is an impressive three-and-a half minute dance routine and the skater also dresses for the part; wearing a ruffled black dress and with her hair in long black pigtails, she remains firmly in character throughout too!

The result is phenomenal… but apparently she only took the Silver at the Women’s Senior Championship Division. Everyone’s a critic! You can only imagine that Wednesday herself might approve… initiation is the sincerest form of flattery after all.
