The show gets a first airing at this week’s SWSX Film Festival in Austin, Texas. To coincide with that premiere, the streamer is giving us one further look at the epic sci-fi adaptation from GoT showrunners Benioff & Weiss.

Which a launch date now shifted back to March 2024, Netflix have debuted a full trailer for 3 Body Problem. The series draws on Liu Cixin’s Hugo award-winning trilogy of books.
Here’s the premise:
A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.
The show promises a mind-boggling journey spanning continents and timelines — from the 1960s Cultural Revolution in China to the present-day streets of Oxford and the United Nations in New York. Billed as a mystery-thriller, it tells the story of what happens when humanity discovers we are not alone in the universe.
3 Body Problem also boasts an impressive roster of onscreen talent including former GOT stars John Bradley and Liam Cunningham. Plus, there’s Jonathan Pryce and Marvel’s Benedict Wong, as well as Jovan Adepo, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Rosalind Chao, Ben Schnetzer, and Eve Ridley.
