Set to debut in January 2022, the show promises “an epic conclusion” to the trilogy.
The final series of the fantasy drama A Discovery of Witches is adapted from The Book of Life (the third novel in writer Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy), and it looks as though we can expect an all out war between vampires and witches.
Here’s the synopsis: In the final series of A Discovery of Witches, Matthew (Matthew Goode) and Diana (Teresa Palmer) return from their trip to 1590 to find tragedy at Sept-Tours. They must find the missing pages from the Book of Life and the Book itself before it’s too late. Their enemies are gearing up against them, and a monster from Matthew’s past who has been lying in wait will return for revenge.
This final run of episodes features an embarrassment of acting talent joining stars Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer. Owen Teale, Malin Buska, Alex Kingston, Aiysha Hart, Edward Bluemel, Lindsay Duncan, Peter McDonald, Trevor Eve, Gregg Chillin, Adelle Leonce, Tanya Moodie, Daniel Ezra, Toby Regbo, Steven Cree, Jacob Ifan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Greg McHugh, Olivier Huband, Paul Rhys and Parker Sawyers are all set to appear.
