Sharon Horgan’s band of Bad Sisters returns as the story picks up two years on.
Ahead of its return next month, Apple TV+ had released the trailer for Bad Sisters.
The black comedy murder mystery thriller stars Sharon Horgan, with Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson.
The show is based on the Belgian series Clan, created by Malin-Sarah Gozin. While that only ran for one season, the Irish adaptation now goes its own way.
Here’s the synopsis for the second season of Bad Sisters:
Two years after the “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband, the close-knit Garvey sisters may have moved on, but when past truths resurface, the ladies are thrust back into the spotlight, suspicions are at an all-time high, lies are told, secrets are revealed and the sisters are forced to work out who they can trust.
With a dead body, a wedding and suspicions running high, it looks like there’s plenty to keep us entertained!
As well as the sisters, the show has a mix of returning and new faces for season 2. Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward and Peter Claffey join the cast, while Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon and Justine Mitchell all return.
Bad Sisters is produced by Merman Television and 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
The show returns to Apple TV+ on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 with two episodes. Weekly instalments then follow leading to a season finale on Christmas Day.
