Have you ever wanted to be a Doctor Who monster or order a pint in the Queen Vic?
If you’ve ever dreamed of being swathed in latex, ready to menace the Doctor, there’s a competition that might just be of interest.
As part of the BBC’s Centenary celebration, the corporation have launched 15 Seconds of Fame. The competition offers viewers the chance to appear on screen, or behind the mic, on a number of high-profile BBC shows.
The six money-can’t-buy opportunities are;
- Announcing ‘voting now open’ on Strictly Come Dancing
Ordering a drink on EastEnders
Lying as a motionless patient on Casualty
Being an alien on Doctor Who
Making a sound effect on The Archers
Doing a spot of gardening on Gardeners’ World
If selected, the lucky fans will spend time on the set of their favourite show to record their scene, with the results broadcast in episodes later in the year, and through to next year, and in a series of short celebratory films.
Naturally, there are terms and conditions. Entrants must be 18 or over, and those short-listed must then record a video audition too.

Good luck – and who knows, you might get to meet the Fourteenth Doctor!
