Get ready for a BBC Christmas 2025 as details are revealed for a host of festive entertainment
It’s approaching that time of year when we are flooded with temptations to grab our Christmas and New Year eyeballs. Yes, get ready for the holiday season courtesy of the BBC as they announce the Christmas 2025 feast of television. There’s far too much to cover in any great depth, so check their main announcement for the scale of the shows available. Their lead image is from this year’s Amandaland special, and shows Jennifer Saunders in character.
What grabs our attention from the BBC Christmas 2025 lineup
There’s a vast list of obvious titles such as Eastenders, Carols from Kings, Strictly Come Dancing, The Traitors, The Night Manager, and a lot, lot more.
We note a Mandy special with Diane Morgan back in The Mandy Who Knew Too Much — we join Mandy as she has what can only be described as one of the worst Christmases ever. We’ve already covered this year’s Mark Gatiss (The Room in the Tower) and will cover Call the Midwife separately. There’s even an Enid Blyton treat for younger viewers in the form of The Famous Five — Big Trouble on Billycock Hill.
Add some new shows, quizzes and New Specials and you need more than one holiday season to watch it all. While you wait for this years Radio Times double edition Christmas issue, this covers some of your needs. We expect similar from ITV and others soon — we’ll bring the highlights as we get them.
